Cairn began as the solo project of The Living Fields guitarist Samu Rahn and released its debut EP ‘Raise the Cairn’ in 2011. Its successor, ‘As for Dragons’, follows in 2013 with a full recording lineup of veteran musicians from Austaras, Vukari, and Vit. Combining elements of European folk, progressive music, and doom, Cairn is elegiac metal neither restrained nor defined by a single genre.
